2nd Quarter Newsletter:
Greetings patients and friends. It's time for our spring/summer updates.
Here's what's going on in our office for spring and summer 2010:
Welcome Narrye Caldwell, L.Ac.!
We are pleased to welcome Narrye Caldwell, L.Ac. To our practice. Narrye
joined us in early April, and is available for acupuncture consultations
and treatments. Currently, she is accepting new patients, and returning
patient appointments on Fridays. She plans to expand her hours sometime
in June, once her teaching responsibilities are done for the Five Branches
School. Narrye comes to us with extensive experience both as an acupuncturist,
and an instructor at the Five branches Institute. She has applied to be
a provider on most of the major insurance panels. If you are interested
in setting up an appointment with Narrye, please feel free to call our main
office number, and we will be happy to assist you.
On Sunday, July 25th, Dr. Martin will be entering the San Fransisco Marathon,
and our receptionist Marian Alba will be running the half marathon! Both
have begun training, and encourage any of our patients who are willing and
able to set a goal, to enter as well! There is a full, half and 5K on race
day for those who want to set a fitness goal. Any takers?
Summer is here!
We know.....we NEEDED the rain. But we are happy to see some warmer weather,
and be able to get outdoors for some summer activities. This is the time
of year where we all are getting more active, which unfortunately means
we also see more patients with sprains and strains. The sunny weather gets
us out in our yards pulling weeds, out doing more activities, and sometimes
overusing muscles that have been “hibernating” for the winter.
Don't forget to warm up adequately before any exercise activities, and
use proper bio mechanics when doing any outdoor yard work etc. And if you
happen to over do it, give us a call, and come in as soon as possible. Early
treatment shortens the down time when suffering from sprains and strains.
Until next time, we wish you good health, happiness and a wonderful summer.
Your friends at Soquel Health Center.
